Description

In four volumes (complete set with map and all plates). Original leather boards, later spines, and two with original morocco labels. Engraved portrait frontispieces to each volume. Decorated head and tailpieces. Many b/w engraved plates of buildings and portraits, folding Pocket Map of London and Westminster printed for Carington Bowles [1766]. Internally all volumes very good and all plates complete, paper crisp and appears unread. Original leather boards bumped at edges and have been not very attractively backed in pig-skin(?). Two volumes retain the original morocco labels to spine. Upper board to volume one detached but present.
