Description
Small square 12mo. (sigs. in sixes). 11 x 13 cm. Original sheep, spine gilt ruled, raised bands. Later paste-downs, f.e.p. original with owner’s name in contemporary ink. Half-title dated 1800, list of taxes opposite title, John Cullyer’s own signature in ink to Preface p.7. (A4r|) 144 pp. plus [iv]pp advertisements. Many full page tables and diagrams in-text.
Generally a good tight copy with signs of use. Spine ends chipped, spine a little cracked, boards rubbed, corners bumped.
The ‘Anti-Jacobin’ Review for March, 1799 is quoted as saying “we... therefore recommend it as a valuable acquisition...”.
