Usual red cloth, gilt, silk markers. xvi+479pp.. All maps and plans present.
A very nice bright copy. Very clean and mainly tight although Contents’ leaf loose (but present). General map before title-page detached from base but neatly so and with no loss, very minor damp-spotting to page 3.
Actually covers the whole of the dual-monarchy, Austria-Hungary, despite the title only stating ‘Austria’. The 10th and eleventh editions, however, give the words ‘Austria-Hungary’ to the cover and title page. Earlier the ‘Austrian Empire’ had been included with Southern Germany. I: Vienna and its Environs. II: Upper and Lower Austria, Salzkammergut, and Salzburg. III: Tyrol, IV: Styria, Carinthia, Carniola, and Istria, V:Bohemia and Moravia, VI: Galicia and the Bukowina, VII: Dalmatia, VIII: Hungary, Croatia, and Slavonia, IX: Transylvania, X: Bosnia.
