Paperback in original blue and white decorated covers, 287 pp., 3pp. Hutchinson list and two ads. (’Seagift’ shaving foam and Oxo) to back. Flap from dust-wrapper listing Sixpenny Pocket library 64 titles loosely inside. Gwyneth Skinner’s name in ink dated 1939 neatly inside.
A sound copy. Good - very good. Paper a little browned, spine ends pulled slightly, very tight, not marked. Lacks full dust-wrapper.
Early Hutchinson’s “Pocket Library” edition. Probably published about 1939. “Miss Jacob was renowned for her collar‐and‐tie appearance and shingled hair.” (NYTimes obit 1964) on Naomi Jacob 1884 - 1964 - suffragette, political activist, actress and prolific author.
