Small 8vo., half-roan, marbled boards, 12.5 x 18.5 cm., title gilt to spine, ex university library, occasional neat stamps. Very tight and clean. Spine ends and edges a little scuffed. With chapters headed: Johann Lorenz von Mosheim, Albrecht von Haller, Johann Matthias Gesner u. Christian Gottlob Heyne, Johann Stephan Pütter u. Karl Friedrich Eichhorn, Blumenback, Jacob Grimm, Gauß, Göttinger Historiker von Köhler bis Dahlmann. As an aside; many of these professors taught Coleridge while he was studing at Göttingen. Dahlmann led “The Göttingen Seven”.
