Austrian writer and feminist historian (1874-1948). Her book “Mütter und Amazonen”[Mothers and Amazons] was one of the first works to focus on history from a woman’s standpoint and examined the concept of matriarchy. She was a member of the “Arthurians,” a group of European intellectuals who each adopted a name from the Round Table (hers was Sir Galahad). In America she wrote under the name of Helen Diner.
