Minor age darkening to covers. Nikolai Stepanovich Gumilev Николай Степанович Гумилёв 1886-1921: Influential Russian poet, literary critic, traveller, and military officer. Gumilev was first husband of Anna Akhmatova. In Paris he published the literary magazine Sirius and back in Russia edited and contributed to Apollon. He was executed by the Cheka in 1921.
