In orignal boards and dust-wrapper, 252pp.. Clean and tight. Edges and dust-wrapper spine a little damp spotted. Top edge dusty. Used; Very Good Kin (pseud. of Surovikin 1903-1937) a member of the CPSU, was the son of a railway worker. He worked in the partisan underground in the Far East and began his literary career as a topical satirist for the Moscow press (for example in Komsomol’skaia Pravda). Between 1931 and 1936, he worked for TASS and Journal de Moscou. The present book is his only completed novel. Made and printed in England by Purnell and Sons, Paulton (Somerset) and London. Modernist dust-wrapper by regular Elkin Mathews illustrator. COPAC 3 copies.
