Second edition. 8vo., 680pp., in original illustrated dust-wrapper. Dust-wrapper, neatly repaired but lacking piece to spine tail, chipped at folds. Cloth dulled and somewhat dusty-looking (inferior quality due to war economy), small water stain affecting lower edge of front free endpaper. Otherwise in good condition, tight, internally clean. Igor Gouzenko Игорь Сергеевич Гузенко (1919-1982) was perhaps better known for his defection, and its subsequent ramifications, from the Soviet Union (in 1945) carrying 109 documents on the USSR's espionage activities in the West.
