Small square 12mo. (sigs. in sixes). 12 x 14 cm. Original full calf,. Half-title dated 1818, John Cullyer’s own signature in ink to Preface p. 7. (A4r|). 150 pp. plus [vi]pp advertisements. Many full page tables and diagrams in-text. Amusing contemporary note in pencil to f.e.p. “Borrowed of Mr Chas Palmer 7 Febry 1843 to be returned at my Leisure Ely (?)”. Many pencil sums to rear endpapers. A very nice tight copy, crisp and clean internally. Leather in good condition, just a trifle rubbed at board edges, leading joint starting faintly. The ‘Anti-Jacobin’ Review for March, 1799 is quoted as saying “we... therefore recommend it as a valuable acquisition...”.This edition slightly larger than earlier ones.
